The #2017SLSquad is now complete!

Western, SFU, U Vic, York, Memorial and Laval make their picks – the gangs all here! 

Joining the Western Squad is science student Luke Ingratta. Luke was Nominated by Holy Cross Secondary School in Strathroy, ON. Joy Shah also joins the Western squad. A graduate of Great Lakes Secondary School in Sarnia, he is pursuing software engineering.

SFU selected science student Jasmine Rai. Nominated by Princess Margaret Secondary in Surrey, BC, she is focusing on computing science. Coquitlam, BC’s Gleneagle Secondary grad Basil Giannopoulos is studying engineering science.

Saba Askari Jafar Abadi from Seycove Secondary in North Vancouver is the science recipient at U Vic. She is the second student from her high school to win this prestigious award. Scott Bernard won in 2016 at SFU. Helen Spry is U Vic’s engineering pick. She was nominated by Lake Cowichan School in BC.

York selected Kezia Johnson, who plans to study science. Kezia was put forth by Toronto’s Francis Libermann CHSNathan Stachow from Lindsay, ON’s Virtual Learning Center is studying engineering at York starting this Fall.

The Memorial squad welcomes science student Jessica Blatta from Nelson McIntyre Collegiate in Winnipeg. Jessica is joined by engineering student Zack Rooney from Lockview High in Fall River, NS.

Rounding out this final group of recipients is Laval. Laval selected West Island College International – Class Afloat‘s Gabrielle Martineau as their science winner. Joining her is engineering student Nicolas Fillion, who was nominated by Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf  in Montréal.
