STEMPOSIUM Conference: Inspiring Young Women in Science & Engineering

1 January, 2016

Are you a high school student interested in entering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)?

Want to know what exactly it’s like to be in nanotechnology engineering, actuarial science, medicine, and more?

Join Women in Science and the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Western University on March 5th, 2016 as we come together to showcase the diversity of post-secondary opportunities, celebrate the achievements of women in STEM and create connections between current students and the next generation of female STEM leaders.

Highlights of this conference will include:

-Tour of the engineering MegaProjects laboratories

-Coding workshop hosted by the Founders’ Network

-Information sessions by students in medical school, students who have held internships that have led them to opportunities at NASA, engineers who have travelled across the globe and members from Western’s co-op office.

Connections are enriched when diverse experiences collide. STEMPOSIUM is a networking opportunity, a learning experience, and a channel for discovery.
