What is a little known fact about yourself?
My love for the physical world was perhaps first expressed when I was two. Upon going out in the morning, I would pick a blade of grass and not let go of it all day until I returned home in the evening.
Why do you think you make a great Schulich Leader?
I have a mind of science, creativity, and imagination. I believe this type of thinking is key to engineering a better future for everyone.
Update: Since becoming a Schulich Leader in 2012, Claire has completed her BSc in Honours Physics at McMaster University in 2017, and had the opportunity to participate in research opportunities involving polymer physics, atomic physics at TRIUMF, and soft electronics at UBC. She has recently completed her MASc in Electrical Engineering at UBC working on flexible and stretchable displays and tactile sensors for application to wearable technology, bio-sensing patches, as well as robotic skin.
