What is a little known fact about you?

I was never going to take biology: I hated how messy and chaotic it seemed. I initially only took it because I was short credits in grade ten. It ended up becoming my best and favorite subject, and I’m now going to make a career of it.

Why do you make a great Schulich Leader?

I have dreamed of becoming an engineer since I was three; I assembled my first circuit board at the age of four and spent summers at the University of Alberta’s engineering camps. More recently, I have fostered a penchant for leadership by channeling this same enthusiasm into my involvement with various groups and organizations. I’ve worked passionately to improve my community by collaborating with the school board to address issues facing students and make sure youth voices are heard, as well as by advocating for greater opportunities for youth to explore their interests in science and technology. My experiences with and passion for community and scholastic leadership have given me the clear vision, determination, ability to collaborate, and drive to succeed which define a great Schulich Leader.
